Welcome to the program! I hope everyone is prepared for an amazing year! In order to build a cohesive team environment it is imperative that we get to know one another right away. For this project we will be completing a 1.5 to 3 minute visual representation of our lives to date. The story should be a description of your life; you are permitted to include information regarding your cultural background, future aspirations and present goals. The multi-class activity will be split into five (5) steps: (1) writing out your story, (2) creating a tentative script, (3) determining the flow of your story, (4) locating the multimedia that will be incorporated into the video, and finally (5) combining all the components to make a congruent story. Assistance will be provided in class for steps one through three, and access to computers for step four. Presentations will be given to the class, followed by a brief question and answer session from teammates. My personal narrative, Cultural Digital Autobiography, has been included here as an exemplar for the assignment. We will review each step in detail, so do not hesitate to ask questions! I can’t wait to hear your stories!
